Ingres Database 9.3
Ingres 9.3 is the latest version of the Ingres Database, an enterprise open source database.
Ingres 9.3 is focused on new customer and partner opportunities that need the application development and Liferay support functionality that is offered in this release. It is only available on the linux and windows platforms and will have a limited life cycle support policy. The support will coincide with the Ingres 9.2 Enterprise Support date which is December 31, 2013. There will be no Extended or Obsolescence Support offered for the Ingres 9.3 release. Ingres 9.2 is the terminal release for the Ingres 9.X release and Extended Support and Obsolescence Support will be available for this release only. Customers or Partners that chose Ingres 9.3 will be required to migrate to Ingres 10.x by December 31, 2013.

Description:
Ingres 9.3 offers key features commonly used in applications written for other database technologies to enable a smooth migration to Ingres. These features include improved accessibility of table procedures from within the query and the support of positional parameter notations that makes database procedure invocation more flexible. Ingres Database 9.3 also provides support for pluggable authentication modules (PAM) which enables the database to support more authentication mechanisms than previous versions.
